You probably can’t teach someone to care.
You can have a sign reminding people to smile and say “Have a nice day” but if it’s not who you are then it probably won’t happen on a regular basis. And if doesn’t happen on a regular basis (consistently) then it doesn’t matter.
What you or your business or your brand do consistently is what comes through, what matters. That’s what people remember. People remember if you care or if you don’t.
If you (and your managers, staff, etc.) care consistently and that is part of your culture it will be evident and seen everywhere. It will be passed on to your customers who will take notice, appreciate it and then (as long as quality is…wait for it…consistent) you have a repeat customer, something that all businesses care about.
Want people to care about you or your business? Start caring about them.
